‘‘Our son settled into Acorns quickly and happily after an unhappy start at another nursery. He generally preferred to play with the toys rather than taking part in all the craft activities so it was great that he had the freedom to do that. The staff took his preferences on board and he'd often come home with stories about ramps they had built together outside for the cars as well as the books that he'd been reading about dinosaurs! It was great having the park next door so he and his friends could have extra time running around together after Acorns before we went home.

He's moved up to school now, but he does ask from time to time if he can go back to Acorns!’’

‘‘Our son joined Acorns for a year to help aid his transition to school and I wish we had done it sooner. Acorns is a really nurturing environment that's brought out the best in his personality. The children are empowered to do lots of things themselves - such as being responsible for their own belongings, getting coats and bags on at the end of the day - and that's really helped him get ready for school. The staff are incredible - really warm and caring towards the children but also excellent teachers. 

When our son joined Acorns he found it a big change but the staff were so caring towards him. His key worker would take the time to read him a story and connect with him when we dropped him off. They would explain the structure of the day so he knew when he would be going home and they helped him form friendships with others so he would settle quicker.

I would recommend Acorns to anyone - they have looked after our son as if he was their own and have helped mould him into a fantastic little person through everything they've taught him.’’

‘‘J never liked nursery or being away from home before he started at Acorns, he used to scream uncontrollably every drop off, breaking my heart every time! Now he asks every morning ‘am I going to Acorns today’ and can’t get out the house quickly enough. It’s a friendly setting where your children can roam, explore and develop. Most importantly for us though they will love it, every drop off I’ve so rarely seen any child upset to go in and that says it all really. The staff are warm and welcoming and you feel your children and safe and cared for.
