Sessions are currently set at an hourly rate

Children aged two years at £6.95 an hour

Children aged three, upon receipt of government funding, at £6.70 an hour. 

Children will become eligible for Government Nursery Education Funding from the term after their third birthday. This funding provides each child with 15 hours of funding per week, which can be taken flexibly as blocks of time with a minimum of 2 sessions per week.

There is a voluntary charge of £1 per funded hour your child attends the setting. This will be clearly itemised on your termly invoice. This charge is reflective of the average costs incurred for the daily provision of snacks, materials and educational activities. If you choose not to pay this charge, your child will still have access to all elements mentioned above.

We are a charity and along with many other settings nationally, we are faced with a tough financial situation. Please do remember that this is a suggested amount and we have tried to keep the charge as low as possible and in line with other local settings, however, if you are able to support further, please do speak to us, any further donation would be very gratefully appreciated.

We have also introduced a registration donation to new applicants this January of £25. This donation covers the admin costs associated with registering and preparing for your child to start in January 2024 and will also hold your child’s place.
We also offer at least one free taster session for your child before they begin Acorns in January.  

Sessions:

The blocks are 8.30-9 am (early birds), 9-1pm noon (morning), 1-3 pm (afternoon).

Parents can use their free funding over two settings, but they are responsible for letting Acorns know how many hours they wish to claim from each setting. 

Any hours booked in addition to the free nursery care will be billed in line with the Pre-School’s hourly rate. Invoices are issued on a half-term basis at the beginning of each half term.  

Employers’ childcare voucher schemes (where payments are made pre-tax) are welcomed.

Monday 9am - 3pm

Tuesday 8.30am - 3pm

Wednesday 8.30am - 3pm

Thursday 8.30am - 3pm

Friday 9am - 1pm
